The FTC’s Economic Liberty Task Force has announced the agenda for its first Roundtable, Streamlining Licensing Across State Lines: Initiatives to Enhance Occupational License Portability. The July 27 event will explore options for enhancing the portability of occupational licenses.
Acting Chairman Maureen K. Ohlhausen will open the Roundtable, which will bring together a variety of stakeholders, including: experts on the law of interstate compacts; representatives of organizations that have developed or administer compacts or model laws for specific professions; and government officials who have facilitated the adoption of state legislation aimed at improving the portability of licenses for military spouses.
The Roundtable, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Constitution Center, 400 7th St., SW, Washington, DC 20024. Information about reasonable accommodations is available on the Roundtable website. The Roundtable will be webcast live. To pre-register and submit questions, please email [email protected].
