February 13,2019 / Deerfield, Illinois / SEC /On February 13, 2019, the Board of Directors of Caterpillar Inc. (the “Company”) appointed G. Michael Marvel, age 57, as Chief Accounting Officer. Mr. Marvel’s appointment is effective March 1, 2019 and follows the previously announced retirement of Jananne A. Copeland as the Company’s Chief Accounting Officer.Mr. Marvel has served as the Company’s Director of Financial Reporting since August 2018 and between August 2013 and July 2018 served as Chief Financial Officer of a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company.
