FTC Approves Final Consent Orders in Matters Concerning Kmart Corporation and Tender Corporation

Following a public comment period, the Commission has approved final consent orders in the matters of Kmart Corporation and Tender Corporation. The FTC’s complaints in these matters charged the companies with making false and unsubstantiated claims that their paper products were “biodegradable.” The vote approving each final order was 4-0.
