The Federal Trade Commission, jointly with the offices of eight state Attorneys General, the New York Division of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, two U.S. Attorney’s Offices, and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) will announce a major law enforcement and consumer education initiative targeting fraud against small businesses on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 10 am ET, at the BBB Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. The announcement will include enforcement actions against scammers who target small businesses and will feature new materials designed to help small businesses identify, prevent, and report scams.
