The Federal Trade Commission will host a press conference in Miami, Florida, on Thursday, June 6, at 1 p.m. ET to announce a crackdown on deceptive travel and timeshare resale scams by the FTC and its federal, state, and international law enforcement partners.
Chuck Harwood, Acting Director of the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection, will be available to answer reporters’ questions, along with Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi; Wifredo A. Ferrer, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida; and Jay Levenstein, Deputy Commissioner, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
The event will not be webcast.
