FTC to Hold Telephone Media Availability to Announce Major Advance in Helping Victims Recover from Identity Theft

Please note: This is a phone-in event only. There will be no webcast or live press conference.

The Federal Trade Commission will host a phone-in media availability today at 2 p.m. EST to announce a major step forward in efforts to help victims of identity theft recover from this pernicious crime. The agency also will be releasing new statistics about the number of identity theft and tax identity theft complaints to the FTC in 2015. B-roll will be available.

FTC Chairwoman Edith Ramirez will be available by teleconference to answer questions from the media.
