The Federal Trade Commission’s PrivacyCon event is being held tomorrow, Jan. 14, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Speakers will include FTC Chairwoman Edith Ramirez, Commissioner Julie Brill and Chief Technologist Lorrie Cranor.
The event will feature research presentations and policy discussions that cover a wide variety of privacy topics and will include researchers from universities and other institutions from across the nation.
IN PERSON: | PrivacyCon will be held in the auditorium at the FTC’s Constitution Center offices, 400 7th Street SW, Washington, DC. Registration and security screening will open at 7:45 a.m. and the event will begin at 9 a.m. The event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Please note that if you pre-registered for the event, you are not guaranteed a seat. Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis. Attendees will be screened by security personnel and will need to bring a government-issued photo ID, have your bags x-rayed and go through a metal detector. |
