Medical Identity Theft Town Hall Today at FTC Conference Center in Washington, DC

Today, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology is hosting a Town Hall meeting on medical identity theft at the Federal Trade Commission’s satellite building in Washington, DC. The Town Hall will focus on how medical identity theft should be addressed in a health information technology (IT) environment, and will be attended by stakeholders from the public and private sectors who will share their knowledge and experience regarding trends and future developments.

The Town Hall is being held from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at 601 New Jersey Ave., NW, Washington, DC. The doors open at 8:00 am, and welcoming remarks will begin at 9 am.
