Statement by David P. Wales, Acting Director of the FTC’s Bureau of Competition, on the Commission’s Order today extending by thirty days the time the lawsuit against Whole Foods Market, Inc. will be withdrawn from Part 3 adjudication:
“We look forward to continuing our discussions with Whole Foods to determine whether we can reach a mutually agreeable settlement that would be in the best interest of consumers.”
The FTC’s Bureau of Competition works with the Bureau of Economics to investigate alleged anticompetitive business practices and, when appropriate, recommends that the Commission take law enforcement action.
