NCUA Will Host Grant Initiatives Webinar

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (May 30, 2018) – Low-income credit unions interested in applying for Community Development Revolving Loan Fund grants this year can obtain valuable information on an upcoming webinar hosted by the National Credit Union Administration.

Staff from the NCUA’s Office of Credit Union Resources and Expansion and the Office of the Chief Financial Officer will discuss the grants program and offer success stories from prior grant awardees. The 60-minute webinar, “NCUA Grants Assist with Strategic Initiatives,” is scheduled for Wednesday, June 13, beginning at 2 p.m. Eastern. Online registration is available here.

Registrants can submit questions in advance at WebinarQuestions@ncua.gov. The email’s subject line should read, “NCUA Grants.” Please email technical questions about accessing the webinar to audience.support@on24.com. This webinar will be closed captioned and then archived online here approximately three weeks following the live event.

The NCUA will offer live Twitter updates during the webinar on @TheNCUA. Questions may be submitted via Twitter anytime during the presentation.

The NCUA’s Office of Credit Union Resources and Expansion will accept grant applications from July 1 through August 18. Grants this year will be available in the following categories:

  • Digital Services and Security (maximum grant $10,000) – helping credit unions create digital relationships with members.
  • Leadership Development (maximum grant $10,000) – promoting career development within the credit union industry.
  • Underserved Outreach (maximum grant $20,000) – assisting credit unions in improving the financial well-being of individuals in underserved areas.
