ALEXANDRIA, Va. (Sept. 1, 2015) – Finding detailed information about federally insured credit unions just got easier, courtesy of an improved online research tool released today by the National Credit Union Administration.
NCUA’s Credit Union Locator, available here (opens new window), now features a more attractive design, enhanced credit union search functions and turn-by-turn driving directions for reaching individual credit unions. The Credit Union Locator includes more optimized map results with “pins” indicating each credit union’s location.
Consumers can get a variety of credit union information by searching a credit union by name, address, zip code or charter number. The refined search option gives users the ability to search an area between 5 and 60 miles of an address. By selecting a specific credit union branch, consumers can view basic information including web address, phone number and whether the credit union has drive-through access or ATMs available.
For more detailed credit union information including financial information, insurance status, field of membership information and asset size, consumers can browse the Credit Union Locator’s companion tool, Research a Credit Union (opens new window).
