Joanne Rajoppi, Union County Clerk, Presents Donation to The Gateway Family YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign
“As a charitable organization, local donations help to strengthen our community by allowing all individuals and families to participate in programs and services that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, providing additional support to those who need us most,” stated Krystal R. Canady, CEO, The Gateway Family YMCA.
Every day, The Gateway Family YMCA works to support the people and neighborhoods that need it most by addressing community issues such as school readiness, chronic diseases and food insecurity. The Gateway Family YMCA uses financial gifts to help individuals and families in need participate in programs such as: Early Learning Readiness, Diabetes Prevention, employment skills training, teen leadership programs, and emergency housing in the communities surrounding the YMCA branches in Elizabeth, Rahway and Union.
“The Y is one of the nation’s leading nonprofits for strengthening community. The ability to provide programs and services where they are most needed; right here in our local community depends on the support we receive from individuals and community partners,” added Melynda A. Mileski, EVP/COO, The Gateway Family YMCA.
The Gateway Family YMCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, health and community service organization of caring staff and volunteers dedicated to strengthening the foundations of community and stands For Youth Development, For Healthy Living and For Social Responsibility.
