Student founded startup launches free to start consumer insights platform that enables F&B operators to reduce food waste and increase sales using consumer insights.
Previously their team has supported a successful marketing campaign with Singapore frozen yoghurt chain Yolé that yielded over 7500 registered consumers, 1100+ coupon redemptions, and new insights into what flavors people want. They have also worked on a pilot test with Sodexo at Yale-NUS in Singapore and are currently integrating consumer insights into other tech platforms.
About Flavorgator:
Flavorgator was founded with the goal of bridging the communication gap between consumers and institutional foodservice operators in mind. Flavorgator’s founder and CEO Henry Dominguez-Letelier, started Flavorgator after he observed, “I always enjoyed spending time with the foodservice staff and respected how hardworking they were, so the amount of food wastage and complaining by other students was saddening to me.”
Through many conversations with students and local foodservice professionals, it became clear that food waste, complaining, and a lack of communication were strongly linked and affected the whole institutional foodservice industry. Seeing that the problems could be solved by building an easy to use feedback platform, Henry teamed up with co-founders Ian Duncan and Kebron Gurara to found Flavorgator.
