BYD signs Hudson County Motors as the fully authorized BYD Electric Truck Dealer for the Northern New Jersey Metropolitan Area.
Based in Secaucus, NJ, Hudson County Motors is well positioned to support the New Jersey truck market, including trucks that operate in Port Newark and Port Elizabeth marine terminals. This major milestone signals that New Jersey commercial trucking fleets and residents can both look forward to seeing more BYD Electric Trucks on their roads, providing clean, quiet, and efficient operation.
Hudson County Motors will offer BYD’s full line of Electric Trucks, including all Class 6 and Class 8 Trucks, Refuse Collection Trucks, Tandem Axle Day Cabs and Yard Tractors. Sales, service, parts and technical support will be provided from Hudson County Motors’ new state-of-the-art facility at 290 Secaucus Road in Secaucus, NJ.
“Hudson County Motors is a great partner because they truly care for their customers and community,” said BYD Motors Director of Business Development, John Gerra. “By working together, we can help provide clean air to the people living in New Jersey communities where heavy trucks go to work every day.”
Hudson County Motors recently opened its new facility that triples the number of service bays that it offers. The new location has a footprint of approximately 100,000 square feet and includes a retail parts store and a service area with 33 service bays, two wash bays, and state-of-the-art diagnostic technology.
“This new facility represents the hard work and commitment of three generations of our employees and our appreciation for our loyal customers in the tri-state area,” said Ben Bellini, Hudson County Motors General Manager. “We’re excited for what this move means for us and for our ability to serve our customers.”
Hudson County Motors has partnered with Climate Change Mitigation Technologies LLC (CCMT), a pioneer in medium and heavy-duty commercial fleet truck electrification projects. CCMT will be responsible for providing project management services for all of Hudson County Motors electric truck projects.
