Impulse’s SafeConnect NAC Version 7.0 Announcement

Users can deploy and operate SafeConnect Network Access Control Version 7.0 more independently than any prior version.

Tampa, FL, October 09, 2019 –(PR.com)– Impulse, the leader in context-aware network security and orchestration, announced the release of SafeConnect Network Access Control (NAC) Version 7.0. The focus of Version 7.0 is on increasing the self-sufficiency of new and current customers ability to deploy, maintain, and monitor SafeConnect.

The most significant improvement is the support of SafeConnect Editions. Under Version 7.0, current customers become SafeConnect Enterprise users, with no changes to their license structure. With SafeConnect Editions, the simplified User Interface is based upon common use cases and includes contextual help.

“As we deliver Impulse as a managed service, we consistently work to improve the overall ease of deployment and support,” said Laura Ellis, Impulse COO. “With our new SafeConnect Editions, centered around common use cases, we made dramatic improvements in ease and self-sufficiency, especially for Essentials and Standard Editions. Our customers have asked for self-sufficiency, and with this new version, we’ve delivered. This approach was met with outstanding approval in our current customers’ feedback.”

A prime example of Version 7.0’s customer enabling improvements are the enhancements to SafeConnect NAC’s Console Configuration tool. It now includes troubleshooting tools that permit customers to self-support appliance connectivity issues caused by network changes. Other improvements include quality of life fixes like refinements to the web UI inactivity timeout feature.

Another advancement in Version 7.0 is improved threat enforcement support. Impulse recently extended support to FireEye and Fortinet. But adding new vendors isn’t Impulse’s only focus. Impulse keeps support of its current vendors up to date by monitoring existing partners to know when these vendor’s make changes to their systems. This is significant because threat enforcement can provide an alternative to or supplement SafeConnect’s Policy Key. Impulse’s other threat enforcement vendors include Palo Alto, SonicWall, and Juniper.

Any organization interested in the security offered by SafeConnect NAC 7.0 should request a demo to learn more.
