New Community Enables HR Execs to Take on Industry 4.0 Challenges

The Talent Transformation Guild was launched today at HR Tech in Las Vegas. The Guild’s mission is to support professionals preparing for the reskilling and upskilling activities being triggered by the 4th industrial revolution.

Miami Beach, FL, October 04, 2019 –(PR.com)– The Guild is supporting a new open-source model, the Talent Transformation Pyramid, that has been specifically designed to deal with the complexities of new work environments. The model was developed by co-founder Eric Shepherd based after months of research and interviews with numerous leaders and executives. The research revealed that the current models for managing and developing workforce talent were out-dated and inadequate to deal with Industry 4.0 requirements. The model provides a vocabulary, framework, and description of factors that support performance, readiness, behaviors, and capabilities.

“Automation will have profound impact on how we work together to achieve results. Just as with other revolutions, the fourth industrial revolution, will change the way that we work, live, and play. As tasks are replaced by automation new tasks will appear and new skills will need to be developed. The Guild, supported by the Talent Transformation Pyramid, will help leaders and executives address these new challenges by promoting more strategic thinking and focus on an organization’s readiness to perform.

About Industry 4.0
According to the World Economic Forum, new and emerging technologies are affecting our lives in ways that indicate we are at the beginning of a Fourth Industrial Revolution (also known as Industry 4.0). This new era will build and extend the impact of digitization in new and unimaginable ways. The Fourth Industrial Revolution can be described as the advent of “cyber-physical systems” involving new capabilities for people and machines. This will see new ways for technology to become embedded within societies and even our bodies.

With process automation, robotic automation, the internet of things the nature of work will change. About the founders
Eric Shepherd is an accomplished leader of international businesses and associations focused on talent, assessments and success. Eric recently stepped away from being Questionmark’s CEO role where he worked to build Questionmark into a multi-million-dollar international assessment software business.

Eric Shepherd has also led several industry and standards initiatives to promote best practices for assessments, learning, and interoperability. He served on the HR Open Standards Consortium (formerly the HR-XML Consortium) to further the goals of open, transparent and trusted approach for HR data standards development to promote interoperability between Human Capital Management systems. Eric was instrumental in developing the IMS QTI interoperability standard and assisted with the US Department of Defense Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) initiative to define the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) and the Aviation Industry Computer-Based Training Committee (AICC) to define launch and track standards for Learning Management Systems.

Martin Belton has provided marketing solutions to organizations supplying HR and Learning solutions throughout Europe. After working with some of the UK’s leading PR Consultancies, he joined Questionmark where he was Sales and Marketing Director working alongside Talent Transformation’s co-founder Eric Shepherd.
