Go for launch! Nomad just delivered a cutting-edge mobile command vehicle to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. The truck will roll for every launch, overseeing scene safety and standing ready for emergency response.
At the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, this cutting-edge mobile command vehicle will deploy for every launch, ensuring safe operations and standing at the ready for emergencies. Through a collaborative design process, Nomad and NASA crafted a solution that packs the latest connectivity and emergency management technology, yet still prioritizes human factors.
“We will regularly have operators stationed in the vehicle for long periods,” said Wayne Kee, NASA Emergency Management Officer. “There can’t be any compromises in quality, performance, or ergonomics. Nomad delivers on all counts.”
Nomad CEO Will Schmautz offers, “We are thrilled to partner with NASA on this mission-critical project. The creative, problem-solving process is where Nomad shines, and knowing this solution will support America’s space program is rewarding and humbling. Plus, the kid in all of us gets a kick out of saying we’re building a truck for NASA.”
Partnerships, like the one forged with NASA, have created sustained growth for Nomad and positive impacts for the company’s home base in Montana’s Flathead Valley. “Over the last two decades, we’ve had the privilege of working with world-class engineers and craftspeople, many of them local. 2020 looks to be another banner year and we’re hiring company-wide to make sure we can meet the demand,” Schmautz said.
