Braintree customers may now begin recovering their credit card processing fees with SurchX and seeing up to 30% increase in their net profit margins.
During checkout, SurchX’s advanced software instantly identifies the type of card being used. It then automatically calculates the maximum surcharge fee amount allowable under card issuer regulations and state and federal law. That amount is then added to the customer’s receipt and labeled as a transaction fee. Customers are also advised that they may avoid the fee by choosing another payment method, such as debit card or cash.
Credit card processing fees have long been a major pain point for many eCommerce merchants, who often have relatively tight margins. Installing SurchX, which is free gives merchants, hospitals, and anyone else who takes credit cards an opportunity to increase their margins without staff cuts or price increases. By partnering with SurchX, Braintree has gives its customers an edge over their competitors.
“We founded SurchX to give all businesses the ability to compete with the Amazons and WalMarts of the world, especially in e-commerce,” said Robert Maynard, SurchX founder and CEO. “It’s about creating a level playing field.”
