Registration Open for OCC Project REACh Summit on Financial Inclusion

WASHINGTON—The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) today announced that registration is open for its Project REACh Financial Inclusion Summit on May 29-30, 2024, at its headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The OCC’s Project REACh, or the Roundtable for Economic Access and Change, brings together leaders from the banking industry, national civil rights organizations, business, technology, and community development to identify and reduce specific barriers that prevent underserved and minority communities from full, equal, and fair participation in the nation’s economy.

The opening day of the summit includes remarks from Acting Comptroller Michael J. Hsu and moderated panel discussions with representatives from large banks, minority depository institutions (MDIs), industry trade organizations, and community groups on the progress of Project REACh initiatives that have expanded access to affordable homeownership, credit for consumers and small businesses, and supported the preservation and promotion of MDIs. The summit will also include discussion of new Project REACh initiatives focused on innovative solutions to accessing financial services. The discussions on May 29 are open to the public for in-person attendance.

The second day of the summit includes strategy and implementation sessions on specific Project REACh initiatives. The sessions on May 30 are available only to current and interested Project REACh participants for in-person attendance.

Registration is required to attend the summit and is open until May 15, 2024, or until full, whichever occurs first. For security reasons, attendees will be subject to screening and must present a valid government-issued identification to enter the building.

The summit will be recorded, and the video will be posted to OCC.gov.

Information on how to register to attend the summit and the agenda are available here.
