WASHINGTON – Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo met with Korea First Vice Minister of Economy and Finance Eog-weon Lee. The two affirmed the important role of the U.S.-Korean partnership in upholding international law and security. The Deputy Secretary welcomed the Korean government’s cooperation on removing key Russian banks from the SWIFT network and for its announcement of export controls on Russia. The United States and Korea pledged to continue to work closely with the international community to respond to Russia’s aggressive actions that violate Ukraine’s sovereignty.
