Readout from a Treasury Spokesperson on Secretary Mnuchin’s Meeting with Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on November 1, 2019

New Delhi – U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin met with Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to continue the India – U.S. Economic and Financial Partnership, a dialogue meant to deepen the economic partnership between the two countries and advance work in a number of areas to support economic growth and security. Secretary Mnuchin and Minister Sitharaman discussed a wide range of topics including foreign direct investment and market development opportunities to create jobs, catalyze growth and generate stable capital for infrastructure investment.
