READOUT: Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen’s Call with Finance Secretary Rogelio Ramírez de la O of Mexico

WASHINGTON – Today, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen called Mexican Finance Secretary Rogelio Ramírez de la O to congratulate him on his re-appointment by Mexico’s President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum and to discuss Mexico’s economic policy options. Secretary Yellen emphasized the need to continue work on combatting illicit finance tied to the trafficking of fentanyl. Secretary Yellen also discussed ongoing bilateral collaboration on investment screening and improving payment system connectivity.
