PARIS – Today, U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen met with French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire. Secretary Yellen thanked Minister Le Maire and France for hosting the Summit for a New Global Financing Pact. She outlined the next steps in the evolution agenda for the World Bank and other multilateral development banks and emphasized the importance of these reforms to addressing the major challenges faced by emerging and developing economies. Secretary Yellen also discussed the G20 Common Framework and highlighted the Administration’s request for Congressional authorization to lend up to $21 billion to the IMF’s Poverty Reduction and Growth Trust and Resilience and Sustainability Trust
