NEW DELHI – Today, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen met with Italy’s Minister of Economy and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in New Delhi. During their meeting, Secretary Yellen and Minister Giorgetti exchanged views on shared priorities ahead of Italy’s G7 presidency in 2024. Secretary Yellen expressed U.S. support for an equiproportional quota increase at the International Monetary Fund and encouraged collaboration on boosting the World Bank’s concessional financing capacity. She also inquired about Italy’s economic outlook.
